Automatic Imitation

People have the automatic tendency to imitate each other. We conduct research to investigate the underlying mechanisms of this ubiquitous phenomenon. Among other methods, we apply a validated version of the imitation-inhibition task (Brass et al., 2000) to investigate automatic imitation in online settings.
